Scott Howson

President and Chief Executive Officer, American Hockey League

Scott Howson is a Toronto native and York University graduate who was unanimously elected the 10th President of the American Hockey League in early 2020. Prior to his current position, Scott spent 26 years with the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers and Columbus Blue Jackets in a variety of roles ranging from Player Development, Contract Negotiations and Business Operations. Before his career began off the ice, Scott played professional hockey as a part of the OHL with Kingston for five seasons, over 100 games in the AHL with the Springfield Indians and 18 contests with the National Hockey Leagues’ New York Islanders.
