James Mirtle was a Hockey Writer for The Globe and Mail from 2005 to 2016. Since 2010, Mirtle has been a Hockey Analyst for the Toronto Maple Leafs on TSN and on TSN 1050 Radio. Prior to this, Mirtle worked as a Copy Editor in the News and Sports Department of the Globe and Mail. He also previously acted as the Manager of NHL Content for SB Nation. Mirtle began formally writing about hockey in his last year of university in Kamloops, BC for the campus newspaper. He also provided reports on draft eligible Western Hockey League (WHL) players for McKeen Hockey.
