Hon. Neil Lumsden

Minister of Sport, Government of Ontario

Neil Lumsden was elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Hamilton East–Stoney Creek in 2022 and currently serves as Ontario’s Minister of Sport. A celebrated figure in Canadian football, Neil won a Vanier Cup with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees in 1975, followed by three Grey Cups as a player with Edmonton and a fourth as General Manager of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2014. Throughout his multifaceted career as an athlete, entrepreneur, coach, and community volunteer, Neil has remained dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
