Jim Devellano
Vice-President – Detroit Red Wings
Jim Devellano is the Senior Vice-President and Alternate Governor for the Detroit Red Wings Hockey Club. Since assuming this role in 1982, Devellano has been a driving force behind the Red Wings’ dominance in the NHL. Devellano can be credited with carefully building Detroit’s 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2008 Stanley Cup Championship teams through the entry draft, savvy trades and aggressive free agent acquisitions. The Detroit Red Wings have made the playoffs in twenty-four consecutive seasons – the longest streak of any team in the four major North American professional leagues. In 2008, Devellano co-authored his autobiography with Roger Lajoie titled The Road to Hockeytown: Jimmy Devellano’s Forty Years in the NHL. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November 2010.
