Bill Daly
Deputy Commissioner – National Hockey League
Daly was named the first-ever Deputy Commissioner of the NHL in July 2005. Daly is chief consultant to Commissioner Gary Bettman and has a significant role in negotiating the NHL’s Collective Bargaining Agreements and managing its relationship with the international hockey community. Previously, he worked as the League’s chief legal officer for more than eight years. Daly is also a board member of both the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Sports Lawyers Association. Raised in New Jersey, Bill Daly was a running back for Dartmouth College and later obtained his law degree from New York University.
