Anne Ottenbrite

Former Olympic Gold Medalist and Professional Certified Coach

Anne Ottenbrite is a former Canadian breaststroke swimmer and Summer Olympian who won three medals at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Born May 12, 1966 in Bowmanville, Ontario, she began to swim at the age of age 3 in her backyard pool in Whitby. She was named Female Swimmer of the Year by Swimming Canada in both 1982 and 1983 and was awarded the Order of Canada in 1984. A year later, Ottenbrite was inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. Upon her retirement from competitive swimming in 1986, she became a Professional Certified Swimming Coach.
