Commissioner – National Lacrosse League
In January 2016, Nick Sakiewicz was named the Commissioner of the National Lacrosse League. Sakiewicz has over two decades of experience working in Major League Soccer (MLS), previously serving as the co-founding partner and CEO of Keystone Sports and Entertainment, the ownership entity of the Philadelphia Union of the MLS. Prior to his ownership stake in the Philadelphia Union, Sakiewicz led two inaugural MLS teams from 1997 to 2006 in Tampa Bay and New York, serving as President and General Manager for both teams. Throughout his time with the MLS, Sakiewicz assisted in raising over $500 million in investment capital, stadium funding, sponsorship and ticket sales.
